THE EVENT: History Theatre and McNally Smith College of Music, both located in downtown St Paul, are thrilled to host Indecision 2008, as part of The Daily Show’s coverage of the 2008 presidential election.
The show will broadcast from the History Theatre Sept 2-5 as part of the Republican National Convention. McNally Smith College of Music will co-host the event.

JOIN US FOR THE PARTY: Takin’ It To The Streets, a live music festival at the theatre and school and at locations around downtown St Paul Sept 1-5, 2008. Hang out and listen to music, enjoy food from featured vendors Famous Dave’s and Dunn Brothers, amongst others. This event is free and open to the public.
TRANSPORTATION: History Theatre is accessible by during the Convention using any of the following options:
Driving directions from the north, south, east or west.
Though the RNC will close down a limited number of streets in St Paul for Convention (known as the “Red Zone”), the theatre will be accessible from Hwy 94 or 35 E. History Theatre is NOT part of the Red Zone security zone.
Public bus routes for the Convention will change from the regular schedule and are posted at www.smart-trips.org or www.metrotransit.org, or by calling 612-373-3333.
If you bike, please see maps below for street access. Bike racks are located across the street from the theatre on Cedar St.
PARKING: Ramps around History Theatre will be open for business during the Convention.
Street parking is free after 4:30 pm- however, many of the meters around the building will not be available for public parking. Parking is NOT allowed on 10th and 11th streets during the Convention.

PROTESTER ROUTES: Anti-war protest marches during the RNC will pass by the theatre on the following dates and times:
Monday, Sept 1- between 11 am- 5 pm
Tuesday, Sept 2- 2 pm (sidewalk march on Cedar St only)
Thursday, Sept 4- time TBA
ADVICE:
- Plan ahead- check out your bus route, parking options, etc before you arrive.
- Allow plenty of time to arrive- traffic may be busier than usual. Come early and join the party!
