In 1862 Mankato was the sight of the largest mass execution in American history. This new play examines the war by framing the story with the trials of Dakota warriors, the politics of President Lincoln and Governor Ramsey, and the letters and diaries of the men and women who were caught up in this tragic moment in our country’s history.
