About the performers

LEE ADAMS
Lee came to the Twin Cities in 1989 from Boston, where he had a successful career in acting and stand-up comedy, to open The Mystery Cafe comedy dinner theater, a company he ran for 28 years. He is an actor, director, and playwright, with over 100 professional productions under his belt. He is also a national voice actor in radio, television and film. Currently, Lee is the PA Announcer and MC for the St. Paul Saints, a position he has held for the last 11 years. He is delighted and honored to be sharing the History Theatre stage with such an incredible bundle of talented folks…Mostly Dane, but no, yeah, everyone else too.

DOUG ANDERSON
Although I have tried, AND continue to try lots of things, I believe everyone has a “superpower”. Something they do that energizes them, gives them confidence and fills them with joy. Performing is that superpower for me. I love the entire discipline of being a performer. Acting, making people laugh and especially singing. I don’t care what venue it is. Cabaret Theater, Dinner Theater, Community Theater, Bowling Alley… I become strong and empowered when I don my performing cap and fly.  I’ve danced with Joe Chvala and the Flying Foot Forum at the Guthrie, I’ve performed at The Bryant Lake Bowl in my Cabaret shows, Chanhassen Dinner Theater (4 productions) and Crooner’s Dunsmore Room. I’ve also performed and sung in London's The St. James Theater, Crazy Coq’s, Piano, The Phoenix Arts Club, and Theater Cafe.

DAN CHOUINARD
Dan is an accompanist for a who’s who of Twin Cities performers, an enabler of community singalongs and a writer of shows for public radio, concert hall and theatrical stage. Most recent among these is Rondo '56: Remembering St. Paul's Black Main Street, a portrait in music, stories and archival photos of St. Paul’s thriving Black neighborhood in the 1940s and ‘50s, before it was sliced down the middle to make room for I-94. He was an occasional guest accompanist on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion and is the founder of the classic country band, Lush Country, comprised of Prairie Home Companion alumni. He’s recently accompanied Garrison Keillor and Prudence Johnson in concerts around the U.S. More info at danchouinard.com
