Toni Stone, raised in the Rondo neighborhood of St. Paul in the 1930s, is an ace ballplayer who knows her stats. Rejected by the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League because of her race, she became the first woman to play professional baseball on a men’s team, shattering expectations and creating her own set of rules.
