REGIONAL PREMIERE

This Barrymore Award-winning musical follows the sensationalized searches, investigations, and accusations which led up to America’s first “trial of the century.” The infamous story of the Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping centers around America's first media darling Charles Lindbergh and his wife Anne Morrow Lindbergh. They were already [reluctant] household names and then when their first son was kidnapped in 1932 the media attention irrupted into full-scale frenzy the like of which the country had never seen. Newspaper men, radio announcers, policiticians and movie stars clammored to make or break the latest headlines at any cost. The story features a Who's Who of 1932 including Norman Schwartzkopf, Sr., Walter Winchell, J. Edgar Hoover, Herbert Hoover, William Randolph Hearst, Al Capone, Ginger Rogers, and the notorious Bruno Richard Hauptman who maintained his innocence until his dying breath.
